Feather trees
were very popular in the Victorian era. During the holiday season it
wasn't unusual to have several small trees decorated with fancy, lacy
ornaments throughout a home. The stands that held the feather trees
were designed to be as decorative as the tree. The Feather Tree Stand, a lovely reproduction of an old
Victorian stand, is cast in iron, painted, and then dry brushed in gold
to bring out the delicate design.
